About Kathy Kent Toney

I write for leaders who are trying to make sound technology decisions without getting pulled off course by noise, urgency, or shiny-object momentum.

This site gives me a place to share what matters when organizations are evaluating new capabilities, weighing risk, or trying to move from interest to action without losing the plot.

Kent Toney

I write for leaders who are trying to make sound technology decisions without getting pulled off course by noise, urgency, or shiny-object momentum.

This site is where I share practical perspective for people who want emerging technology examined in the context of real decisions, real tradeoffs, and real follow-through.

About This Publication

Emerging Tech Perspectives is built for leaders who need more than commentary on what is new. It is designed to help readers think through questions like these:

  • What problem is actually worth solving?

  • What would useful early value look like?

  • What has to be true for this to work beyond a demo or pilot?

  • Who needs to own the outcome?

The aim is simple: practical thinking that respects how organizations actually operate.

About Kathy Kent Toney

I’m Kathy Kent Toney, a technology advisor and consultant with 23 years of experience at Northrop Grumman and Honeywell, where I worked alongside engineers developing advanced technologies. My work focuses on helping organizations evaluate new capabilities with more discipline, more context, and better judgment.

I help leaders sort through what is worth pursuing, what deserves more scrutiny, and what it would actually take to move from interest to implementation. I am especially interested in the point where promising technology meets operational reality.

Through Kent Solutions, I help make complex technology conversations more understandable and more useful. This publication reflects that same approach.
